The Vehicles Most Likely to Be Involved in Rollover Accidents

Some vehicles are more likely to roll over than others. Back in 2002, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration published a report entitled The Characteristics of Fatal Rollover Crashes.

The NHTSA found the increasing popularity of SUVs and light trucks was leading to an increase in rollover deaths. Vehicles like SUVs are more prone to overturning.

The report noted that, in the the years since 1991, the number of passenger vehicle occupant deaths ranged from a low of 29,485 in 1992 to a high of 32,127 in 1999, an increase of about 9 percent. The report pointed to a 6 percent increase in deaths in rollover crashes over that period.

Passenger car occupant rollover deaths fell by 15 percent while occupant deaths in light truck rollover wrecks rose by 35 percent. The report concluded the increasing popularity of these vehicles suggests a rising number of light truck fatalities are replacing passenger car fatalities, particularly in rollover crashes.

In Consumer Reports ,trucks and SUVs dominated the list of the vehicles with the highest rollover risk.

Passengers Are Often Hurt in Vehicle Rollover Accidents in Jacksonville

On occasions, large numbers of passengers are injured in rollover accidents. In June 2017, more than a dozen people were transported to local hospitals, two with serious injuries, after a rollover crash on northbound Interstate 95 near the Duval and Nassau county line, reported Jacksonville.com.

The crash occurred on I-95 near Pecan Park Road when a Jeep Liberty carrying two adults and 11 children sustained a rear tire blow out, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The driver lost control as the Jeep veered toward the right shoulder on the fifth most deadly interstate in the country and then overturned. One victim was ejected from the vehicle as it rolled into a ditch in Nassau County.

Children are often victims in rollover crashes. In some cases, passengers who sustain serious injuries may have grounds to make a claim for damages against a driver.

I have known Mr. Lawrence for several years and in my opinion he is the most professional and trustworthy lawyer I have ever known. I have had dealings with other lawyers but they were not as good as Mr. Lawrence. I would highly recommend him.

★★★★★
I had a difficult disability case, and was referred to Greg by a judge. As an experienced lawyer myself, I was apprehensive about using someone I didn't know. As it turned out, however, I could not have been more pleased. Greg mastered the case in no time, and was nothing short of brilliant in getting me a substantial settlement. He's a lawyer's lawyer, and I recommend him highly and without reservation. Steve

I would like to take a moment to say thanks to Greg, and his staff for doing an excellent job with my deceased mothers nursing home case. After hiring two other law firms my brothers and I decided to hire Greg. This was the best decision that we made regarding this case. Greg took the time to get to know who our deceased mother was, and the important facts involving our claim. As a result Greg was successful in resolving our claim to our satisfaction. Greg is the best attorney that I have ever met! I would highly recommend hiring Greg for any nursing home, or any other claims. Falsario Arnold

Of all the things that pleased me about Greg was that he was always available to me. If I called or emailed, I spoke to him and wasn't pushed off to one of his paralegals or assistants (although they were very helpful as well). I felt like I had a lawyer - not a factory. Scott
